Indian cryptocurrency start-ups saw a spike in private equity and venture capital (PE-VC) investments in 2021, taking the total investments in the sector to a historical high of $485 million – compared to just US$24.4 million in 2020. The bulk of the investments (over 88%) happened during the second half of the year.
