One ultra-rare Tamadoge NFT has attracted a top bid of 2.12ETH - 112% over the starting price of 1ETH.
The 100 ultra-rate pets are currently on sale on OpenSea, with the auction running until 2.25pm UTC on Thursday, October 13.
The large bid - approximately $2,750 - has been placed on Tamadoge #1, which features a cowboy hat, glasses, and a beach background.
A number of other big bids have been made, with Tamadoge #42 currently selling for 2ETH.
Just 30 of the NFT pets have max bids at the starting price of 1ETH.
Pets will form the center of the Tamaverse - which is not only the meme coin TAMA, which pumped after its initial exchange (IEO) offering at the end of September.
Unlike other meme coins, Tamadoge was developed to bring long-term utility and use cases to holders and the ultra-rare pets are step one in the ecosystem.
The P2E game - styled in the same vein as 90s craze Tamagotchi and named as our best NFT game - sees players feed, care for, and grow their pets until they become adults, with toys, treats and food bought in the pet store with TAMA.
