JPMorgan has turned a spotlight on the US Virgin Islands, claiming it protected convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein at his private compound which was based in the territory.
The Wall Street bank made the claims in a 23 May filing, the latest in what is amounting to a bitter legal fight that is also set to see the deposition of chief executive Jamie Dimon on 26 May, amid allegations the bank enabled Epstein’s crimes,
