Credit Suisse places Russia staff on ‘paid leave’ as it pulls back

fnlondon.comCredit Suisse's staff in Russia have been placed on paid leave as the Swiss bank looks to wind down its operations in the country, its chief executive Thomas Gottstein said.
"Most of these employees are not working in the office," Gottstein said on a call with journalists accompanying its first-quarter results. "They are basically on paid leave. We gave not made any decision on releasing employees, but we are clearly winding down our positions in Russia."
