Citigroup is set to start monitoring employees’ office attendance, focusing on staff who do not follow its requirement for spending at least three days a week working in its UK operations, as banks crack down on hybrid working.
The US bank, which has maintained its flexible approach to hybrid work as many of its Wall Street rivals have demanded full-time attendance, is in consultation with employee groups to start monitoring and reporting on the number of days its 9,000 UK staff spend in the office.
