Regulators in different jurisdictions should aim for a unified approach to their respective cryptocurrency rulebooks to prevent exploitation of regulatory loopholes between jurisdictions, the CFA Institute said.
Rulemakers should “find ways to align and harmonise definitions and their scope of application if they intend to properly supervise the sector”, the New York-headquartered association of investment professionals said in a report published on 4 January.
