Bank of Japan Sees Inflation Hitting 2.3% This Fiscal Year

wsj.comTOKYO—The Bank of Japan said Thursday inflation would likely rise above the bank’s 2% target this fiscal year, but it kept ultra-low interest rates unchanged to support the nation’s economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Japanese central bank maintained short-term interest rates at minus 0.1% and its target for the 10-year Japanese government bond yield at around zero.
