In April, organized labor claimed one of its biggest wins in years, if not in decades: Workers at a sprawling Amazon.com Inc. warehouse in Staten Island, N.Y., voted to unionize.
But a month later, workers at another of the company’s facilities in Staten Island voted against being represented by the Amazon Labor Union. And in October, Amazon workers near Albany, N.Y., overwhelmingly rejected the union, as well.
