The cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, Alibaba Cloud, and a smart contract layer-1 blockchain platform, Avalanche, announced a collaboration to deploy metaverse on the blockchain.
Metaverse is a virtual reality environment that allows interaction between users in a simulated space.
Recently, it has gained popularity as an immersive space for socializing, gaming, and commerce. However, current metaverse platforms sometimes face network, reputation, and security risks.
The partnership aims to bring new possibilities to the metaverse world by creating decentralized, secure, and scalable virtual worlds.
The partnership between Alibaba Cloud and Avalanche will leverage the strengths of both companies to address such challenges.
Alibaba Cloud will provide its expertise in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to create a secure and scalable metaverse infrastructure.
This will be supported by a launchpad Cloudverse allowing businesses to customize, maintain, and launch their metaverse environments on the Avalanche blockchain.
The operation will also use the assistance of a third partner, a service layer MUA DAO that will facilitate the implementation of metaverse integration and customization.
This information came from the president of Ava Labs, John Wu.
Meanwhile, Avalanche will bring its high-performance smart contract platform to ensure decentralization and interoperability across metaverse ecosystems.
The layer-1 blockchain platform has subnetworks (subnets) – a set of nodes the team can build on the blockchain.
In other words, operators can customize these subnets to suit a particular need on a blockchain.
Through this infrastructure, it will be easy to create customizable blockchain solutions using
