Banks must do more to serve the bottom 10% of society, the Lord Mayor of the City of London has said.
“The rich stay rich because they can afford to buy one good pair of boots,” Nicholas Lyons told an event on financial inclusion at Guildhall on 13 February. “The poor stay poor because they have to buy several bad pairs…and still end up with wet feet.”
