As the road to Crown Jewel 2022 continues, WWE Raw will present yet another weekly episode, tonight where a title match will serve as the possible main event of the night. In this singles encounter, Bianca Belair will put her Women’s Title on the line against her long-term rival Bayley. This is the only match that’s been confirmed for the October 24 episode that takes place at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair may have been under the impression that she had Bayley and the entire DAMAGE CTRL faction in the past following her win in the Ladder Match at WWE Extreme Rules on October 8. But just like leeches, the heel faction won’t just go away from her.
That being said, Bianca Belair will defend her WWE RAW Women’s Championship on the October 24 episode against the leader of the DAMAGE CTRL, Bayley. As noted above, this will be a rematch from the Extreme Rules PLE where Belair overcame the heel trio all by her own to retain her titles.
Then on the October 17 episode of WWE Raw, Belair teamed up with Candice LeRae to face Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL. Bayley tried to interfere in the match and The EST of WWE took her out. But LeRae was left in the ring, alone as the Damage CTRL members double-teamed on her before getting the pinfall win. Following this outcome, WWE announced the later encounter between Bayley and Belair.
WWE Raw Preview (24/10/22): Bobby Lashley’s dominance to continue
Two weeks ago on WWE Raw in Oklahoma City Brock Lesnar returned and laid out Bobby Lashley with two F5s, a German Suplex, and a Kimura Lock. Last week, Lashley started the show by calling out Lesnar to have another face-to-face confrontation that ended up being a massive brawl all over the ringside.
This time around, Lashley prevailed by spearing The Beast through the ringside barricade before putting him through the announce table with a Spinebuster. WWE referees, trainers, and even wrestlers had to come out to stop the brawl. The All-Mighty has been able to send a message to the former WWE Champion and he will certainly look forward to continuing with the momentum.
WWE Hall of Famer JBL has returned to introduce Baron Corbin as “The Modern Day Wrestling God” and thereby start a brand new alliance. JBL also noted that Rey Mysterio was switched to the SmackDown fold while “the greatest trade since The Bambino came to the Bronx” on the WWE Raw roster in the form of a repackaged Corbin.
Corbin came out with the same “Happy Corbin” theme but with a different shtick and attire, who also went on to defeat Dolph Ziggler with the End of Days, as JBL praised his new client from the commentary table. The new heel alliance will continue to grow strong on the latest upcoming WWE Raw episode.
The Judgment Day would challenge The O.C. to a six-man tag team match at the WWE Crown Jewel premium live event. The feud between the two teams will also continue to pick up as we expect more singles matches between the respective members of the group on WWE Raw.
