WWE RAW 03.09.2022 Results & Ratings

This week’s RAW started as the Judgement Day came out to the arena for the first match of the night. Before the match, Finn Balor cut a promo on his upcoming I Quit match against Edge at Extreme Rules. During the promo he made a small botch but it can be overlooked.

Dominik Mysterio also cut a short promo on his father and there was a point where the crowd was cheering, “Who’s Your Daddy.” Dominik replied that he knew who his daddy was and that was not Rey Myterio. We are pretty sure that this was not preplanned, Dominik did a really good job here.

WWE RAW 03.09.2022 Results & Ratings

Match 1 – The Judgment Day (Damian Priest & Finn Balor) defeated AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio

This match was booked for nine minutes and it was a good match. There is nothing out of the world about it but it told a good story. Rey got attacked by Rhea outside of the ring which referee did not notice. It distracted AJ as Finn took the advantage of the situation as he pinned him with the Coup De Grace.

After the match, Rey attempted to check on AJ, but AJ was so frustrated that he pushed Rey away. Rey got angry and left AJ alone. Judgment Day attacked AJ from behind and beat him down badly. Nobody came out to save him.

Match 2 – WWE United States champion Bobby Lashley defeated Mustafa Ali

It was an 8 Minute long match and it was a good match where Bobby Lashley dominated the most part of the match. The match was booked to show the spirit of Mustafa Ali who kept standing up. After the match Seth Rollins attacked Bobby Lashley. Maybe he is next top in the line for the title.

Seth Rollins started cutting a promo on his upcoming match will Matt Riddle that will take place at Extreme Rules and it would be a Fight Pit match. Matt Riddle interrupted him and the duo had a heated conversation where they got personal again. UFC legend Daniel Cormier appeared on the big screen and send a message to both of them. He is going to be the special guest referee for this match.

Match 3 – Dakota Kai defeated Candice LaRae

This match was booked for 7 minutes and it was not a bad match. But in this match it was clearly showed that LaRae is brought back in WWE just to be a jobber. At the end of the match she was hit by Bayley from outside of the ring with the referee did not notice but Kai pinned her with a Roll Up.

Match 4 – Otis defeated Johnny Gargano

This match was booked for 5 minutes and the outcome of the match is quite similar to the previous one. Theory hit Gargano from outside and Otis pinned him. Husband and wife both faced the same consequence.

Match 5 – Braun Strowman defeated Chad Gable

This match was book for only 4 minutes and surprisingly it was not a squash. Chad Gable had his moments but Braun pinned him with the Powerbomb. During the match, Omos was seen watching it. A dream feud between Omos and Braun might be next.

Next up was the official contract signing for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship which would take place at Extreme Rules between Bayley and Bianca Belair. It was a really good segment, Bayley once again showed what she could do on the mic. At the end, it turned violent as Dakota and Iyo attacked Asuka and Alexa backstage, Bianca ran to save them but Damage CTRL was gone by then.

Match 6 – Solo Sikoa defeated Angelo Dawkins

This is also a good match, but the same issue continued, predictability. During the match, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso argued again, we do not know how long it would continue. Solo at the end pinned Dawkins with the Spinning Solo.

Match 7 – Iyo Sky defeated Alexa Bliss

This was such a weak main event. But we do not blame the creative team. This is what happens when you have a world champion who gives one appearance a month. Iyo Sky pinned Alexa with a Moonsault. It felt really bad that Alexa is being forced to job almost every week. After the match, Damage CTRL beat down Alexa, Bianca and Asuka. Damage CTRL celebrated as this week’s RAW went off air.

Overall it was a below average week of RAW. The shows are getting stale week after week. And we do not blame him. What do you expect from a show where there is no World Championship scenario? Thankfully the United States Championship picture is back on the card. This week there had been no standard matches either. We give this week’s RAW 1.5 out of 5.
