India pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has come up with a hilarious response when asked about India’s plan to stop David Miller in the 2nd T20I. The swing pacer said the team would prefer if South Africa decide to drop the Killer-Miller all along followed by an extensive laugh in the pre-match press conference on Saturday.

India are all set to take on South Africa in the 2nd T20I game of the five-match series at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday. The proteas defeated India by 7 wickets in the opening game courtesy of a whirlwind knock from David Miller.

The left-handed destructive finisher earned the ‘Man of the Match’ award after helping his team to complete their biggest chase with five balls to spare. Miller remained unbeaten after scoring 64 runs off 31 deliveries, including five maximums.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar who was taken apart by Miller after a solid start with the new ball acknowledged that David Miller was difficult to bowl considering the form he is carrying at the moment.

“It is difficult (bowling to Miller). He is in such good form. Main toh chahunga South Africa unhe drop kar de par wo aisa karenge nahi (I would want South Africa to drop him but they would not do so (laughs). He batted so well in the IPL, we know his calibre. Bowling to him would be a challenge,” said the senior pro.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar began beautifully by scalping the early wicket of Temba Bavuma but proved pretty costly in the death. Meanwhile, the veteran pacer admitted that India’s bowling wasn’t up to the mark in the opening game and promised to bounce back strongly in the 2nd T20I.

“As you said, the bowling was not upto the mark in the first game so we are expecting that we bowl better in the second T20I and we are able to win to level the series. We have four games remaining in this series, we have a chance to win the series. We have to bowl better, and we need to bat in the same fashion like the previous game,” further added Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

“We discussed what went wrong. It was the first game of the series, everyone is coming out the IPL and almost everyone who is in the team had a good IPL. So everyone knows what needs to be done and the things we can improve on. As a bowling unit, we had an off day and we all want to make a comeback in the second T20I,” concluded Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
