Thiruvananthapuram: A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speeding ambulance at Venjaramoodu here on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Fasaludheen, a resident of Venjaramoodu.
The accident took place around 9 am on Sunday.
Fasaludheen was crossing the road near Venjaramoodu mosque and police station when the ambulance mowed down him. The ambulance which carried a dead body was coming from Kilimanoor.
The man was taken to a private hospital in Venjaramoodu in the same ambulance, but could not be saved.
His body has been kept at Thiruvananthapuram medical college mortuary.
