Former WWE star and a former three times NXT Tag Team Champion Kyle O’Reilly who currently works in the All Elite Wrestling recently talked about his wrestling style and he wanted to make it as real as possible.
Kyle O’Reilly started his professional wrestling career back in 2005 in Canada. He wrestled all over the independent circuit. She has been a household name in the Ring of Honor where he wrestled for eight long years.
Kyle O’Reilly Says He Wants To Make His Wrestling Look As Real As Possible
In 2017 he left the Ring Of Honor and joined WWE. He started his career in the NXT as a member of the famous NXT stable the Undisputed Era led by Adam Cole. Like the rest of the members of the Undisputed Era, O’Reilly was really loved by the fans.
Earlier this year, the fan favorite stable has been disbanded and all the wrestlers involved in the stable started moving solo. Like the others, O’Reilly is also having a singles run right now. He could not win the NXT Championship even though it looked like WWE is considering him as a Contender.
WWE did not extend his contract and he was let go by the promotion latter last year and much like most of the released WWE stars he went on to join AEW. He rejoined with his former partners Adam Cole and Bobby Fish in AEW.
Kyle O’Reilly who currently works in the All Elite Wrestling recently spoke to Beyond Type 1 where he talked about his wrestling style and he wanted to make it as real as possible. He said;
“I just wanted to make wrestling as realistic and believable as possible.There’s a place in wrestling for the amazing maneuvers that people can do, the moonsaults and the twisting hurricanranas and stuff like that, but I was never physically capable of doing that stuff, mainly because I’m afraid of heights.
“I train a lot in martial arts, jiu jitsu and kickboxing. These were things that I was good at and movements I could do well, so I started to incorporate that into my pro wrestling. Everything I do I’m trying to be different. Not really standing out by being extra flashy, but the opposite of flash.
“My style is catered to a company like All Elite Wrestling, where there are so many tremendous athletes and wrestlers and I can help bring something different to the table that will mesh really well with our high fliers and other sensational technicians we have.”
